• Long Stories with many conflicts. Odeyeus has conflicts with the gods and is tested by trying to get home before his wife marry's another man.

• The hero goes on a journey. Odeyeus traveled from Odin to home.

• There is an element of the supernatural (omens, gods, demons...). The gods.
