- Foil characters are characters that are in the same situation as the protagonist but make different decision.
- Hero/protagonist characters are characters that make the difficult decisions in the story.
- Antagonist characters are characters that are against the protagonist.
- Catalyst characters are characters who change the story when introduced.
- Archetype characters are characters that have 2 or 3 characteristics.
- Caricature characters are characters that have one big characteristic through out the story.
