Wife of bath paragraph
Introduction
A folktale features common folks, such as peasants, and commonplace events. There maybe be some "make-believe" elements but overall the stories sound realistic.
Statement
The wife of bath is a folktale.
Explanation and example
There are some make believe elements like the old woman turn into a beautiful girl and when meeting the old woman there were twenty four but vanished till there was just one old and ugly lady. It also includes some common folks for example the smelly, poor and old woman who is the peasant in this story. Make believe elements are some time found in folktales but the most important one is common folk. Folktales mostly have a story about a king, a queen, a prince or a princess and a peasant.
Conclusion
In conclusion the wife of bath's tale is a folktale because of it common folk and common place event like the castle.
A fable has the intrusion of the gods and the funeral pyre, but fin'amor too. The "romance" isn't a romance because it includes romance; it's a romance because it's written in romance. The nun's priest is a fable. There are talking animals in this tale like 'fox-you idiot! fox!' Or 'go away you stupid yokels! I've got the cock now! And I'm going to eat him up!'. The moral to this story is 'remember to be on your guard against flatterers and all those who open their mouth when they should keep them shut!. Talking animals and morals are thing that are always found in fables. The animals have human like characteristics, because this way a human reader can associate with the story. Animals prove something through out the story. Fables are to show people and to make them realise that their actions and behaviour. This stories are mostly told to children to help them make the right decisions in life. In conclusion the nun's priest's tale is a fable because of it's moral which teaches us that flatter is wrong and bad and we should on uur guard against it.
